British rocker Waite headlines the third event in the HACPAC’s inaugural PAC the House series with an evening of his music from the present and the past, along with his three-piece band. With a history that parallels the legacy of English rock from the 70s through today, Waite is a songwriter, singer, bassist, and performer whose long and prestigious career will be fully showcased in this appearance.
John Waite is an English musician who was lead vocalist for The Babys and Bad English. As a soloist, he had a #1 hit in the U.S. with “Missing You,” which was later also released as a duet with Alison Krauss and reached the Top 40 on the Country charts. He has toured with Ringo Starr and continues to record.
PAC the House: Mission Statement
The mission of the PAC the House series is to present Bergen County audiences with an array of distinctive acts that may not appear on other area stages. The City of Hackensack and the Main Street Business Alliance, which co-sponsor the PAC the House series, carefully vet the performers to ensure a variety of cultural backgrounds and disciplines and to cultivate a hip ambiance for the redeveloping downtown. In the intimate Hackensack Performing Arts Center, the PAC the House series presents well-known performers as well as up-and-coming artists who promise to become new favorites.
